Believe it or not, they are a safety hazard. Any leggings without belt loops cannot secure a gun belt and therefore a holster in place. If you are wearing a belly-band style holster for a concealed carry class that secures your holster in place, spandex leggings may be allowed.

Modern firearms eject brass hot enough to blister. Hot brass under someone’s shirt or glasses will disrupt the firing line and can create a safety risk. Twelve students firing 400 rounds is 4,800 potential hazards. Brimmed hats, collar-height shirts, and closed-toe shoes reduce that risk significantly.

Not particularly, but there are recommendations and class-specific rules. Bring a quality OWB (outside-the-waistband) holster unless you are specifically running a concealed carry class. Hard-shell Kydex is preferred over leather; leather is greatly preferred over soft-shell canvas.

Absolutely not - zero flexibility on this point. We strongly recommend you don’t even own one. A great many people have shot themselves drawing from an index-finger release holster.

Yes, but OWB/IWB holster rules still apply for both open-carry and concealed-carry classes.

A gun belt or reinforced leather belt is highly recommended. The deciding factor is whether your belt is too soft and flexes under tension, creating a hazard while drawing and holstering. We will try to accommodate the situation but only have so many gun belts to hand out.

There will soon be a class set of ear protection with built-in radios, but for now bring your own eye and ear protection.

We prefer that you already have a CPL before taking a concealed pistol class.

For eight-hour range classes, 300-500 is a safe bet. The number of shots fired for each drill is usually at your discretion. For a classroom-based class, 100-200 is probably enough. For a one-hour private lesson, 100 is usually sufficient, with more ammo available at the range counter. Be advised the classroom and range based classes will have no additional ammo available for purchase.

Raining is training - and in the Great PNW it rains. If the weather becomes severe we will refund or reschedule for another date.

There is a mandatory safety briefing at the beginning of range-day classes. If you show up late you will not be allowed on the firing line until there is a moment to brief you. If you show up late to a classroom-based class you must arrive before the live-fire segment.

Cancel for any reason with at least one week of notice and you will be refunded.

Yes, limited to +1. Both people must purchase the private lesson. In exchange, a second duo lesson may be scheduled.
